Giancarlo Fisichella, also known as "Fisi", is a seasoned Formula One driver. He has driven for 6 teams in his 13-year career; Force India, Renault, Sauber, Jordan, Benetton and Minardi.

He has won 3 grand prixs - 2 for Renault and 1 for Jordan. During his time at Renault, Fisichella won his first race but was soon overshadowed by to-be World Champion Fernando Alonso.

After Renault signed Nelson Piquet Jr. and Fernando Alonso for the 2008 season, Fisichella signed for Force India. During his time here, he joined the elite group of drivers who have raced in over 200 races. This season he has been at the back of the pack alongisde team-mate Adrian Sutil.

At the Belgian 2009 qualifying, Fisichella grabbed a shock pole for Force India the first in their history. Then in the race the next day he finished second, Force India's first ever points.

However, for the next race in his native Italy he moved to Ferrari who were in need of a new replacement for Felipe Massa after Luca Badoer disappointed in his two races.
